Improving Indoor Environment With The Help Of Indoor Plants

Taking care of your own little potted plants at home or at your office is actually a good form of releasing stress. Because of a busy lifestyle nowadays, we get stressed by so many things easily. What we don't know is that plants have many benefits that can affect our body and mind. Research has shown that indoor plants or houseplants significantly improve a whole range of aspects of our indoor environment. These plants will help us realize that they are not just for display, they too have their good effects not only in our environment, but, to our human body as well.

I have added a basket of plants to my collection at home. It is called the pink splash dish garden, and it was given to me by a relative who also loves plants and gardening. The pink splash dish garden is compose of a bela palm, croton, dracaena, english ivy and the popular pink splash plant. It comes with a handcrafted container, that is made with wood and wicker and is perfect for our living room. This houseplant will definitely reduce stress at home or any offices while boosting creativity and indoor air quality. Since there are so many breathing bodies in one space at work, high carbon dioxide levels can cause drowsiness and headaches. These things can affect your performance and concentration. Adding indoor plants could be of a big help to solve these problems. They grab and filter polluted indoor air and releases oxygen that is needed by our body.

Let us always remember that all plants have properties that are useful for improving indoor air quality, but there are plants that are better than others for absorbing pollutants. So we must choose the right kind of indoor plants to take care of at home or at any indoor space.

Getting To Know More Plants

There are thousands and thousands of different types of plants that thrive in the world that we are living in today. Some of them we are very much familiar because they just grow in our neighborhood or we have seen them at the park or malls that we have visited, while others are grown outside of the country and some are even living in the wild rainforest. But what's really important is that these plants are there to produce the oxygen that we need to breathe, the food that we need in order to survive, medicines which is much healthier and reliable compared to those that were manufactured. Plants also regulate the water cycle, they help distribute and purify the planet's water and never forget that they make up the back bone of all habitats.

Those are the many reasons why I got fascinated of having my own garden and even I even have my own indoor plants. One that I got recently added to my houseplants is the pink splash dish garden in round basket. It was given to us as a gift by a friend, the round basket comes overflowing with a bela palm, croton, dracaena, pink splash, and english ivy. I am thinking of re-potting the other plants that came with the round basket so that they could have their own breeding ground and that they could grow appropriately. Of all the plants in the round basket, I am not familiar with the pink splash, so I made some research on how I could take care of them properly.

After reading some articles about the pink splash plant, I have realize that this type of plant is quite sensitive and would need some expert care. But I am confident that I can get the plant blooming as soon as possible and that I am also aware of the pitfalls of these kind of plant.
