Lucky Bamboo Is One Of The Most Recognizable Plant

It was a just a month ago, when a friend of mine passed her CPA board examinations. Although, not everyone who took the test was able to pass, still, there are lots of things that they should be thankful for. Last Saturday, November 8, 2014, my friend invited mo to their house for a simple thanksgiving celebration because she was able to succesfully pass the examination. But, the ultimate reason for the thanksgiving party is for Our Creator who made everything possible.

I wanted to come to her party but unfortunately I had to take care of my month old daughter. So instead, I sent a congratulatory gift. She is a person who loves plants, and wants to be close to nature all the time. I sent her a whimsical three stalk lucky bamboo bonsai plant. This lucky bamboo plant will definitely bring her happiness and good luck always. Plus the fact that it will add beauty and charm to her room or any place in their house. She was very thankful for the gift that I had sent and she promised to take care of it. Lucky bamboos in Feng Shui plays an important role as a living example of elements of water, wood and earth.

The lucky bamboo plant is one of the most recognizable and popular among feng shui cures. It's an easy care plant because it can adopt to any kind of light. It is the perfect gift for plant lover and to those who believes in Feng shui.

Gardening For Kids

Gardening has provided us with so many benefits not only with the fresh fruits and vegetables that we get to eat everyday but also  physically and mentally we are also healthy. For some kids, they may not be as interested in gardening as they are interested in playing video games but, luckily our son has develop a special interest in plants. I think it has really great impact on our kids if they see us maintaining our own garden. But, it's not always the case, it still depends on the likes of your child or children.

Kids could have fun while learning. People of all ages can enjoy gardening, but children in particular will surely enjoy ang gain lots of special benefits. It will unlock a lot of potentials from your kids. Being responsible is first on the list. They would learn how to care and maintain for their own plant. When my son received his first ever plant, which is called as the butterfly zenia garden in a pail, he was so excited. I can see that he really loves what he is doing. It was given to him by his Godfather. It's a gift that he cherished and he still takes care of the plant until now. The plant also grows with him.

Getting our children involve in gardening helps them appreciate nature and the food they eat too. They will develop new skills and learn about science and nature from growing their own food. Just make sure that your garden is a safe place with suitable equipment, tools, fences, gates and paths for children to use.

Brighten The Room With Mini Yellow Roses

Music has been proven to have healing or soothing effects on us humans. Remember how an upbeat music could chase all the blues away and soft music could help us fall asleep faster. Music does have effects on adults and on babies too. Being a mom of two, I can totally attest that a simple lullaby could sooth any crying baby. It is also a way for you and your baby to bond, imagine the joy you'll share with your child when you sway to the beat of a lovely melody. Some research show that music is sometimes part of therapy for premature babies because research links that listening to music to improved their weight gain. It's really wonderful how music could help uplift our mood.

All babies are born with the potential to become musical, and they often react to songs with enthusiasm. I was very thankful for receiving a musical container with a lovely flower in it. Mini yellow roses in Hi baby musical container was given to us by a close friend of mine intended especially for the coming of the new baby. It has been very useful to us, since, I always use it to put my baby to sleep. And it also brightens the room with it's yellow roses. My baby also liked the sweet melody of the musical container and it helped her to sleep much longer hours compared to the music is off.

Just imagine how our world would be without music in it. I don't think that it's a livable world because for others music is their heart and soul and for some music is their life.

Leaving My Indoor Plants In The Office

Now, we are just counting the days for my expected date of delivery on my our second child. My Ob-Gyne advised that I should take my maternity leave and stay at home so that I could prepare for the big day. Mixed emotions are what I'm felling right now, I know that I have gone through this once with our first child, but I just can't help it. I'm still getting a bit nervous yet super excited to see our daughter. It has been 9 months that I have been carrying and caring for her in my womb. I actually have so many things to take care of before I leave the office. Making sure that my office desk are clean and all my work should be finish on time. Since, I have few office plants on my desk I decided to leave them to my co-workers welfare for the meantime. Having plants in the office has its benefits not only physically but psychologically as well.

Plants in the office offer more than aesthetic value. In fact, studies have shown that they help reduce stress, enhance employee attitudes, increase productivity and improve air quality. These interior plants offer business a simultaneously natural and beautiful addition to the interior while benefiting the overall well-being of their employees. Those are actually the reasons, why I love bringing these indoor plants at the office. They actually help me think and breathe better especially when I have a lot of things in mind. Little did we know, that plants offer visually-meditative experience, which ultimately leads to a happier and healthier employees. One of my low maintenance office plant, is the mixed succulents in textured aspen container, I decided to leave it to my closest friend. I know that the plant will definitely suit her personality.

I left her some maintenance instructions for the plant not to wither and die easily. Succulent plants are actually easy to take care of, since they are considered to be desert survivalist of the plant kingdom, plus they have these strong stems, roots and leaves which stores moisture and can withstand prolonged drought. Now, everything is already set in the office. I can have a peace of mind while I'm at home for my maternity leave.

Gardening Is For Children Also

My son has just turned 4 years old a few days ago. Kids would usually ask for a gift like toys or gadgets or accessories, but my son ask for a plant that we saw at a botanical garden when they had their educational trip yesterday. I was not so surprised hearing that he wanted to buy the butterfly zinnia garden in-a-pail as a gift. I know that he also wanted to have his own garden at our backyard. Ever since, we started gardening at home he has been curious about gardening stuff especially how plants grow and live. Gardening is actually a wonderful way for children to love science and they could develop a love of nature and build fine motor skills. He promised that he would take good care of the flowering plant and he will make sure that it will grow and blossom beautifully.

Without any hesitation, his father and I granted his birthday request. We bought the butterfly zinnia garden in-a-pail. He was so happy with the gift that he received that day and he immediately watered the plant and he put a little organic fertilizer in it. He can't seem to contain that happiness and couldn't sleep well last night. He kept on asking so may question about the plants and the life span of these plants and trees. He went to bed with those thoughts in mind. Children can learn new skills, have fun, play and develop self-confidence by spending time in the garden tending plants and growing their own food. Just like my son, most children enjoyed being outdoors and they also love digging in the soil, getting dirty, creating things and watching plants and animals grow.

People of all ages can enjoy gardening, but children in particular will have lots of fun and gain special benefits. They can learn about the science of plants, animals, weather and the environment and most of all about healthy eating. But also child safety in the garden is important. Make sure that you have the correct-sized tools for kids and keep away harmful chemicals as well as providing a safe storage for equipment and tools.

It's The Thought That Counts

Gifts are considered to be a blessing. Each time we receive gifts from someone we love or from a dear friend we feel thankful towards that person. The reason why gifts are considered to also be a blessing, it's because they are given without expecting something in return. It is given wholeheartedly not only during special occasions but it can be given even in normal days for no special reason. All gifts are meaningful and they are being kept and treasured as a remembrance from that special person. Most popular gifts are stuffed toys, flowers, chocolates and cute little figurines. But, how about giving something that grows with that special person. Nowadays, gifts that grow are becoming popular and is considered to have deep meaning to those who receives it.

Plants have many benefit to our health and environment. These plants are making it's way into special occasions nowadays. It has become popular and a more practical gift compared to cut flowers that will only last for 2 or 3 days. My husband's co-worker and a good friend of his as well, will be tying the knot next week. So as a congratulatory gift, we are thinking of giving them a double tier lucky bamboo tower.  The lucky bamboo is used to attract health, happiness, love and abundance. There are varieties of lucky bamboo arrangements, but the one that we choose has ten stalks which represents perfection in Feng shui. Even though they are easy to care for and a very tolerant plant, these lucky bamboo plants still needs your love and attention, as it likes to look good, just like we all do.

Gifts even big or small are considered to be equal in the eyes of the receiver. And they are not measured by how expensive the content or how glamorous the wrapper is, it's always the thought that counts.

Cherishing The Gift Of Life

The greatest gift and blessing that we received from God is the gift of Life. We should be thankful for the many gifts that we receive everyday. Out of the many gifts, being able to wake up every single day is the one that we should cherish the most. A very close friend of mine will be celebrating their Father's death anniversary tomorrow and she is already busy preparing the things and food that they will be bringing in the cemetery. Since she is the eldest among the siblings, she has to take care of everything for the commemoration of their Father's death anniversary. I accompanied her to the market today , to help out in buying ingredients for the meals that they will be bringing.

After more than an hour at the market, we bought everything that she needs. I originally wanted to help in cooking, but my husband and I, together with our son, had to go somewhere very important. On our way home, we pass by a flower shop and I got interested in one of their flower arrangement. We stop by to buy the flowers that is beautifully arranged in a clear glass vase. At first glance, I really thought that the roses and white lily arrangement is a natural plant. But my eyes totally deceived me, they are actually silk flowers. We will be bringing these pink rose and lily devotion silk arrangement at the cemetery tomorrow. Good thing about silk flower arrangements, is that they do not wither and die, unlike the cut natural flowers. They are maintenance free too, since you don't have to water them everyday or trim and fertilize the plant just like the natural plants need in order to grow and survive.

Life is really unpredictable, we can't tell until when are we gonna stay in this world. We should know how to make each moment count. Also be sure to spread good deeds and happiness because it will definitely be recognized by many even at your death anniversary.

The Significance Of Thank You

A "thank you" could mean so much to someone. It is a sign of your appreciation, gratitude or a polite expression used when acknowledging a gift, service, or compliment. There are many ways to show someone how we are very thankful for their help. A gift could also also be a way we could show how thankful we are towards that person. Usually, we would give cut flower bouquets to show appreciation, but that could only last for a day or two the most. What if we could give something that will grow and blossom just like our heartfelt thanks.

Now we can, with a selection of thank you plants which includes choices for friends, family, co-workers, and anyone who has gone out their way just to help. A friend of mine recommend these thank you plants and she also told me that she had been ordering online through a trusted website. The deliveries were always on time and the plants are really beautiful and well-maintained. Selecting the right kind of plant for a specific occasion is also simple, since plants are categorized accordingly. Our symbol of gratitude would always be remembered as the plants grow with that person everyday. There are people who actually don't know how to say their thank you, giving plants as a gift is actually a better way of showing how you appreciate all the help you get from that person. Good manners are a code of conduct or rules, based on common sense, courtesy and usage. Gratitude is one of these rules.

It's true, No man is really an island. Saying thank you acknowledges our dependence on others. Always remember, if we start chipping away at gratitude and common courtesy, life becomes very unpleasant. People gives these gifts because they are looking for recognition, respect and affection,

Giving Gifts On A Non-Special Day

Gifts are mostly given on special occasions. But there are those people who gives gifts even on ordinary days. They are the kind of people who wants to make an ordinary day extra special. Lucky for those who were able to meet this type of person, because they know how to value relationship and most especially, they know how to value you as a person. I could say that I am one of those lucky people who have met a nice and loving man. My husband knows how to make an ordinary day extra special even in his own simple ways. He will not shower you with extravagant gifts but he will give what your heart desires. Since, he knows that I am a plant lover, he would usually visit a flower or a home and garden shop to check if there is anything new that I would love to have.

He recently bought a bougainvillea bonsai plant, for no special reason. I was very surprised that day when he arrived home holding a pot of flower. He was smiling widely and that gesture truly melted my heart. Ever since that day, I know that our love for each other grew stronger. We also realized that, if you are married, you'll know that happiness in your marriage is as essential as food is for hunger. Surprising each other with little gifts or tokens of appreciation. This will make the moment even more special. It's always the thought that counts. Gifts need not be extravagant or painfully expensive, even a little something would make a big difference to create warmth and sweet memories.

Starting from that one bougainvillea bonsai gift that he gave me. Now, we have a garden full of different flowers, trees and other potted plants. Always remember to marry someone you love exactly as they are, and be sure that they feel the same way towards you. That way, you'll never expect more from each other, than being happy and contented with just being together.

An Unexpected Lucky Charm Gift

We are almost done with the our baby's new room. Just a couple of days more, and everything will be fully furnish. The truth is that, we are also done with the baby shower before we could even start with the nursery room. So we didn't get to tour our guests to our baby's new room. I thought that gifts for our second child would be over, since the baby shower was celebrated a month ago.But one of our child's soon to be Godmother sent another gift. We were very surprised and thankful towards her. She is a college friend of mine, and she is as excited as I am for the coming of our new baby.

She sent a little cutie lucky bamboo arrangement that has a great deal of charm and character. It definitely look great with the ponytail plant that we bought the other day. The little cutie lucky bamboo arrangement features two spiral lucky bamboo stalks that looks fun and whimsy. It is ideal not only for decorations at home but as a gift as well. Taking care of lucky bamboo arrangement maybe a bit complicated. you have to make sure that it receives bright, filtered sunlight and avoid the direct light because it will scorch the leaves. Because they are more tolerant of too little light than too much. Just make sure not to place them in front of air conditioning or heating vents. Godmothers can be considered as second parents to a child. So we must choose carefully those people who can fulfill those duties or responsibilities.

Life is full of surprises. We may never know what the future holds for us. But, at least choose the right people to trust. I am thankful that God has directed me to the path of meeting the right kind of people. Let us celebrate life and be thankful for every blessing that we receive each day.

Sending A Lucky Bamboo As A Congratulatory Gift

Achieving our dreams through determination and hard work are just two components of a successful person. One of our office mates got promoted last day and we all felt that he really deserves it. So, today we sent him some congratulatory gifts to his new office. He was very surprised to see that all of his colleagues and co-workers gather around his office to give him a surprise party. We bought food and drinks to celebrate with him after work. We all know that he feels thankful and blessed not only for the promotion that he got but also for all the people who helped him and supported him all through out his journey and labors at work.

Gifts flooded on his table, but my gift really stood out. It is a green mountain lucky bamboo, which I bought specially for that occasion. Originally I was planning to give him a pen as a congratulatory gift, because I know that he loves to collect all kinds of pen. But then, I realized that since it's a new office he would definitely needed a live plant to brighten up his new room. I also give him tips and advises how he should take care of the green mountain lucky bamboo plant. I also told him that the plant has been artfully arranged to provide a sense and tranquility and peace not only in his office but also in his life and family. Left him a precaution that the plant should avoid direct sunlight, to avoid scorching of the leaves and also not to place it in front of air conditioning or heating vents. He was very thankful for the gifts that he received, as well as the love and appreciation we have showed him.

We must always remember to do our best everyday and to always look our best too. Always have our one foot forward to be ready for whatever challenges that we may have to face. And never to forget to thank God for everything He has given Us and ask for His guidance all the time too.

Growing Bonsai As A Hobby

Bonsai, as we all know is a form of art for plants. It first originated in China, and was later passed on to different countries. Bonsai are not just an attractive conversation piece but also has a benefit to our health for many reasons. It is a relaxing hobby that can relieve stress and as a grower, there is said to be a deep philosophy in the spiritual dimension of the art. As you trim, prune, re-pot, water and fertilize, it takes your mind elsewhere allowing you to focus on these simple tasks. The process brings a Zen state of mind. But, also remember that growing these bonsai trees would require a lot of your time and effort, as well as creativity. You need to have basic knowledge in Bonsai making before you could properly grow one at home or at the office.

The ideal way to grow a Bonsai is from a tree seed, which means you would need to start from scratch or the very beginning. Trees are normally the ones we use for Bonsai making, since you wanted a miniature of that piece. The reason why it stays miniature is because of the care that you give to the Bonsai as they grower. But, it is not just trees that we could use for Bonsai making. One that I have at home is the Rosemary Bonsai, which was just given to me by a friend of mine during our housewarming party. I have put it in our kitchen, so it would be just easy to reach whenever I need it while I'm preparing our meals. the rosemary bonsai has a very nice aromatic scent and has a lovely purple blooms which is a natural beauty in any kitchen. You will get a sense of aesthetics and learn how to maximize the beauty of the plant.

A bonsai will literally grow old with you with and may last well over one-hundred years with proper care and management. This only means that you will get to enjoy your very own creation for years to come.

Welcoming A New Baby At Home

Two months from now we will be expecting an addition to our family. We are very thankful for this wonderful blessing that God has given our family. A new life means, a new beginning. My husband and I have been planning for the baby shower. It's just a simple celebration and we have invited our closest friends and relatives to join us on this special day. We have decided to hold a baby shower for our second child because we were not able to do it with our first born. We were a bit hard up on money back then and can't afford to have even a simple baby shower. But after giving birth to our first child, we were very happy because things have totally change and a lot of blessings came pouring down for us, as well as opportunities at work.

I was very surprise to see an advance baby shower gift when we arrived home from shopping the other day. A friend of mine left it at our patio, I called her immediately to say thank you for the advance gift. She said that she will be leaving for a business trip and couldn't come on the day of the baby shower that is the reason why she just left the gift instead. She is already on her way to the airport and will be back a day after the baby shower. It was a nice mini yellow roses in hi baby musical container. I super love her gift, an appreciated her thoughtfulness towards me and the baby. I do believe that my baby will surely enjoy the colorful yellow roses and would love to hear the Hi baby musical container play and will definitely put her off to sleep.

Every child is a gift and a blessing to their parents and to everyone around them. As parents, it is our duty to guide and protect them as well as nourish them with love and care. We should always put in mind that our children gets easily influenced by their environment and would copy whatever they see from older people. So we must always be careful in doing or saying things in front of these innocent children.

Birthdays Are Best Celebrated With Family And Friends

A birthday is always a special day for everyone. Just like any other special occasion, we celebrate and thank God for giving us another year in our life. A 4-year old kid may never understand why there are birthdays and why it is celebrated, but seeing their friends and classmates come to enjoy is an unexplainable feeling of happiness for them too. My son and I went to a birthday party of his classmate last Monday. It was just a simple birthday celebration that was held at their humble home. His mom cooked some of the most delicious food for the party and other members of their family helped in preparing the tables and decorations, as well as the giveaways for the kids.

What really caught our attention during the birthday party was the terrarium garden with multicolored flowers in a designer-selected glass. Although it is a birthday party for a boy, but the terrarium garden in a designer glass complements the colors of the birthday cake which was specially made by his mom too. All the kids enjoyed and laughed while playing games, even us parents enjoyed while watching them. When the clown entered and started the show, all of them jumped up for joy. They all kept quiet while eating and we went home directly after the party because my son got tired of playing and running around with his friends and classmates.

A themed birthday party for your child might be too much or too expensive for others. It might not be practical because of the many expenses that we have from day to day. But let us not forget that our child also celebrates his/her birthday just once a year. So saving up some of your money for your child's birthday themed party is a great way to be fully prepared for his or her special day.

To Love Plants Is also To love Oneself

After a long and tiring day at the office, I would always love to sit at our garden gazebo while sipping some coffee to relieve my stress. I like how, seeing the blooming flowers from my garden could calm and soothe me. They say that, being outside in a natural environment can improve memory performance and attention span. The effect of nature or plants in the home and in the workplace serves to stimulate both the senses and the mind, improving mental cognition and performance. That is the reason why, I love to surround myself even at our workplace with plants because of the many positive benefits I get in taking care of them. Natural aesthetic beauty is soothing to people, and keeping ornamental flowers around the home environment is an excellent way to lower levels of stress and anxiety.

Even inside our garden gazebo, I have placed a garden wall lucky bamboo in our table top. The arrangement contains five stalks of lucky bamboo closely arranged in rectangular ceramic container. They say that, these garden wall lucky bamboo exhibits a sense of might and sanctuary which is actually what we need inside our gazebo. The lucky bamboo was given to us by one of our neighbor during the blessing of the gazebo. I was panning to put a flower arrangement at first because I believe that adding flowers reduces perceived stress levels and makes you feel more relaxed, secure and happy. But instead, I decided to place the lucky bamboo, since, our gazebo is just beside our flowering plants.

Let us be thankful to our Creator for giving nature to us because of the many benefits that we receive from them. And in return, it is our duty to protect and take care of them, just the way they are taking care of us.

Improving Indoor Environment With The Help Of Indoor Plants

Taking care of your own little potted plants at home or at your office is actually a good form of releasing stress. Because of a busy lifestyle nowadays, we get stressed by so many things easily. What we don't know is that plants have many benefits that can affect our body and mind. Research has shown that indoor plants or houseplants significantly improve a whole range of aspects of our indoor environment. These plants will help us realize that they are not just for display, they too have their good effects not only in our environment, but, to our human body as well.

I have added a basket of plants to my collection at home. It is called the pink splash dish garden, and it was given to me by a relative who also loves plants and gardening. The pink splash dish garden is compose of a bela palm, croton, dracaena, english ivy and the popular pink splash plant. It comes with a handcrafted container, that is made with wood and wicker and is perfect for our living room. This houseplant will definitely reduce stress at home or any offices while boosting creativity and indoor air quality. Since there are so many breathing bodies in one space at work, high carbon dioxide levels can cause drowsiness and headaches. These things can affect your performance and concentration. Adding indoor plants could be of a big help to solve these problems. They grab and filter polluted indoor air and releases oxygen that is needed by our body.

Let us always remember that all plants have properties that are useful for improving indoor air quality, but there are plants that are better than others for absorbing pollutants. So we must choose the right kind of indoor plants to take care of at home or at any indoor space.

Honoring The Father's In Our Lives

It's the time of the year again, when we celebrate and honor our fathers and the influence of fathers in the society. They say that any fool can make a baby, but it takes a man to raise a child. That is actually true especially nowadays. A daddy isn't always defined as the man who makes the child, rather a man who extends his hands and time to help raise the child and gives his heart and love to the child. Always remember that being a daddy comes from the heart and you don't need to be blood related for one to become a good dad to a child. I have always been thankful to my dad who raised and taught me everything that I should know about life. He has been my inspiration and because of his influence in my life I was able to meet a person of the same characters as his.

Today, as we celebrate Father's day, I would like to say my thank you to my Father who had raised me in the best way he can even though we are not blood related. He never see me as somebody's child, but treated me as his own. It was hard loosing him but I am still grateful that I was able to meet a man as respectful and lovable as he is. I know that he is at peace now, together with our Creator and that he is proud and happy for me and for my own family. I bought a lucky bamboo with three stalks, instead of flowers since we will be visiting his grave today. The three stalks on the lucky bamboo represents peace strength and love. I always pray that he now receives greater peace. I am thankful for receiving greatest love from my father and that he continues to pat my shoulders, giving me strength every time I needed it.

A father means a source of strength and of support right from the very start. A constant readiness to help and in a kind and thoughtful way. Now, my husband becomes that very man that I look up to everyday. He sees to it that our son's needs are taken cared of in every way that he can. A father means so many things because he is a man like you.

The Journey On Finding One's True Love

Finding one's true love is never that easy for some of us. Others may have found theirs easily, but there are always those who still waits for their other half to come. There are also those, who already gave up on finding their true love because of their age and just focuses on work and other things.  Lucky for those who finds theirs and is very happy right now. I actually have friends, who just gave up on waiting for the right man to come but is happy being single. It's just a bit unfortunate that they won't be able to experience the taste of true love. Looking on the bright side, at least they won't have to go through the ups and down of a real relationship.

A friend  of mine, celebrated her birthday today. Because, she is single, nobody ask her out for a dinner date to celebrate her birthday. But, that is not really important according to her. What's really important is to be able to thank God for the blessing that she receive and that she have a great family that supports her all the way. We decided to surprise her with a birthday cake and some gifts, when we visited her house. Some of our friends got her a book which teaches on how to get a man, others gave her stuffs which she truly adores. But I gave her a true love lucky bamboo bonsai instead. Feng shui says that these true love lucky bamboo plant will serve as her lucky charm in finding her one true love. We truly hope that she would be able to find that right man, because she's not getting any younger and that she needs to have her own family to take care of soon.

Life indeed is full of miracles, we may never know where the path we choose could lead us, but we sure have the capacity to create our own. Let us not waste time, waiting for something to come, but instead, let us work with what we already have to be able to create the future and success we are dreaming of.
