Spreading Happiness Through A Lucky Bamboo Bonsai
There would be a time in our life that we will meet a person whom we will consider as a true friend for the rest of our lives. I am very thankful that I was ale to find mine at an earlier age. And we were able to share a lot of life's misfortunes but most especially the everyday happiness of being friends. After college, she had to leave the country to work and be with her mom as well. At first we would sometimes cry over the phone while talking to each other. She is like a sister to me and I to her. Time flies so fast, but the communication was always there. Now that we have our own family, the friendship still continues to grow. I guess, the longer you become friends, the more you consider each other as a part of each others family.
She was able to get a month of vacation this year and she brought something for me. She knew that I totally love plants and I've been collecting some lucky bamboo bonsai. She just added one to my collection of bamboo bonsai. It is called the lucky bamboo happiness. Other bamboo bonsai arrangement could attract money, good luck and fortune, as well as love, but this one attracts happiness. We all have happiness inside of us and it's a gift that we keep on sharing everyday. We sometimes tend to forget about happiness and how beautiful life is because of the many challenges that we need to face everyday in our life. But, good ting is that there are people around us to remind how to smile and laugh even amidst the problems.
These lucky bamboo happiness plant would also be a good reminder to us everyday that we should be happy because God gave us another day to live on. And He would never give us problems that we cannot carry. Always remember that God is bigger than any problem.

The Value Of Indoor Plants To Our Home And Office
Indoor plants have a very good effect not only in our surrounding but most especially in our health. Due to climate change that we are experiencing right now, I always wanted to have more plants inside our house because it help reduces the too much heat and absorbs all chemicals in the air. Bringing the outdoors inside does more than just beautify your space. Beneath the beauty of these indoor plants, we will be able to discover the facts and benefits that they could provide us, and that they go far beyond the aesthetic. The benefits cover a spectrum from physically cleaner air to direct beneficial effects on psychological health, task performance, illness reduction and productivity.
Houseplants or indoor plants are actually good for our health because they grab and filter polluted indoor air. These living organisms interact with our body, mind and home in ways that enhances the quality of life. While some plants are better than others for absorbing pollutants, all plants have properties that are useful for improving air quality. One of my most favored plant is the gardenia bonsai, not only of its beauty but as well as the benefits it could provide us and our homes. Aside from the fact that gardenia bonsai improves the moisture and air quality indoors, it is also a very aromatic plant, thus, creating only pleasant smell and masking the bad ones.
These indoor plants contribute to a feeling of well-being, making us calm and optimistic. Plus, they have been known to lower blood pressure due to their stress-relieving nature. Knowing the effects of these indoor plants, we are assured that we will less likely to be breathing the musty, stale air and in return improve our health condition.

To Give Is To Receive
Receiving in the form of giving is the best way to show someone how you truly feel towards them. The best part in giving is knowing that you were able to share some of your blessings to others. And, there are actually many ways in which you could show someone that they are important in your life. A give and take relationship is better compared to the other one is good in giving and the other one is better in receiving. For sure, that kind of relationship will not last longer. That is romantically speaking, but between family and friends, it really doesn't matter if you give more and receive less. Because, what you truly share to them is selfless love.
One of the most precious gift that I receive from a friend is the large braided money tree. In feng shui, it is said that the money tree attracts energy of wealth and prosperity. But for me, the large braided money tree is still a plant which we should really care and maintain. It is an indoor plant but can be put outdoors. As for me, I have placed the money tree on my desk in the office. And to combat the dry air found inside the office, I have placed a shallow tray filled with gravel and a little water under the container. This is a technique that I have learned from reading a book about bonsai plants, which really worked.
Let us always be thankful for the gifts that we receive, but most of all we should be happy for the blessings that we could share. A growing plant. a bouquet of flowers or any material things can be given easily without asking for any return. But, love should only be given to someone who truly deserves to receive it.

Honoring Our Mothers
Its the time of the year again, where we will be celebrating and honoring our mothers and motherhood, as well as maternal bonds and the influence of mothers in society. Mothers had always been a great part of our lives because I believe that they have the greatest sacrifices from the day that we were conceived. They had to bare the changes in their body because their is that tiny life living inside them that they need to protect for 9 long months. And when they finally gave birth to us, another chapter of motherhood is unveiled before them. They become too busy helping us grow and nurturing us and teaching us the right values and to fear and love God. Honoring them for a day and giving them gifts may not be able to pay all the sacrifices that they did for us but at least we will be able to say thank you and I love you in our small ways.
Taking them out for a day in spa and salons as well as eat at their favorite restaurants are just small ways to say that we truly appreciate what they did for us. Sending them cards, bouquet of flowers and their favorite food would also do, or for some, receiving a gift that grows would be the best. I once heard my mom said that she would rather choose to have a plant on a pot as a gift on mothers day because she wanted to see the plants grow everyday meaning my love for her also grows from day to day and that she'll make sure to take care of it in the best way she can. An Azalea Bonsai is one of her favorite plant because of this I will be sending her what she loved and this is also to cheer her up when she gets to miss us especially now that me and my other siblings have our own family. She will be able to grow these azalea bonsai indoors without any hassle.
It's all thanks to our Mom that now, we were able to teach our kids the same values that she instilled in our minds. But also not to forgot our ever supportive Father that has always been a solid foundation and breadwinner who never gets tired to push us in reaching for our dreams.

Cactus Are Indoor Plants Too
One of the many characteristics of a cactus plant is it can survive in extremely dry environments or places. Cactus plants also shows many adaptations to conserve water especially with the help of spine to prevent water loss by reducing air flow. They are mostly noted for their sharp spines and ability to thrive in hot places, but what we really don't know is that these cactus and other succulent plants can actually adopt to the environment indoors with just a various amount of light and humidity. Cactus plants comes in a number of varieties and shapes, some have striking blooms and they also make a colorful, hearty houseplants.
All cactus are succulent meaning that they can store water and all are also perennial meaning they can last for many years given the right growth practices. Although it is easy to grow these kind of plants, one must also be knowledgeable enough or at least know some basics and the do's and don't on caring for the cactus plant. I actually have a medium cactus garden at home which I bought online since it was for sale. It has seven different cacti and succulent in a 7" planter which is a delightful sight at home. I had to read books and also check facts on the internet on how to take care and maintain these type of plants because it is still possible to experience failure, so knowing a few best practices on how to grow cactus on containers will definitely ensure success.
Always remember to put your cactus plant in the sunniest part of your home and when learning how to grow them, be careful also not to prick your hand, so you must always use a gardening gloves when working with them. One good cactus growing tip is to lift the pot to see how heavy it is. If it feels lighter than usual, it means it is time to water your indoor cactus.

Care for Gift Plants
People nowadays are becoming more aware of giving live plants as a gift rather than cut flowers. Out of many specie and varieties of flowers, one that is rapidly becoming most popular potted houseplant, behind poinsettias at Christmas are the Orchids. What others don't know is that, orchids have long been a symbol of love and beauty, just like the roses. They are favored as corsage worn on the dress, or as wristband at many proms and weddings and many more special events. They are mostly grown by enthusiasts for their sheer elegance and fascination. For many people, their first gift orchid is the beginning of a long-term love affair with these flowers. But it can seem a long way from a lovely gift orchid to a thriving collection of flowering plants.
Finding or choosing the right kind of orchid to suit the environment of your home is the first start to proper care of orchids. But, how about those who received the orchids as a gift? Since they don't really have much of a choice, what they can do is research on how to care for that type of orchid plant. Miltonia orchid in wood and wicker container can often be seen on flower shops and they become popular even on online shops nowadays. When you first receive your orchid, it will likely be in bloom and obviously you want to prolong the bloom as long as possible. Most people who are new to orchids think the plants needs loads of water to grow well, but it's just not true. Orchids with wet roots are susceptible to root rot and other problems because most orchids grow on trees and their roots need fresh air flow to be healthy.
Re-potting a blooming orchid, especially one that arrived in such a beautiful container is too stressful on the plant and it will drop it's blooms. Instead of re-potting it's better to hold off on the water, wait three days or a week and make sure that you don't place your orchids where it will experience cold drafts or exposure to direct sunlight or heating vents. Those are just simple and basic steps in caring for your orchids, but our orchid will go a very long way or will thrive healthily with just following those simple steps.

Gifts Are For Everyone
Gifts, with or without occasion is given to a family member, a friend, or someone that is close to your heart. Gifts are often symbol of love and affection for someone and are often given without any expectation of payment. Although gift-giving might involve an expectation of reciprocity, a gift is always meant to be free. These gifts are usually packaged or wrapped in a wrapping paper ad accompanied by a gift note which may note the occasion, the recipient's name, and the givers name. But for lovers, a bouquet of flowers, a box of chocolate plus a teddy bear are the usual gifts of a man to the woman he loves. These gifts would eventually melt a woman's heart and would leave them happy and proud for days.
But, what if we could give a gift that will not just leave us happy for days or weeks but instead will leave us happy for years. And that everyday it would remind us how a friendship or a love has started and it is growing with your relationship day by day. Giving a bouquet of roses is something very sweet and special, but it will soon wither and die and you will eventually forget about it after a couple of months. But with the true rose plant, your loved one will surely take care and maintain it's beauty for years, seeing it everyday would remind them how much you truly love and care for them. Mini pink roses in wide weave with handles is an ideal gift for any special person in your life because it symbolizes sweetness or admiration rather than passion and romance which the red rose symbolizes.
A gift is an expression of love or friendship and it is always given to someone who truly deserves to receive it. Gifts always makes our hearts warmer, may it be, we are the one giving or the one receiving it.
